**
One afternoon, the clever and humorous Mulla Nasrudin was sitting in the town square, enjoying a cup of tea
. People often gathered around him, hoping to hear something wise—or at least amusing.
A young man stepped forward and asked, “Mulla, I have a question. What is the secret to success?”
The crowd leaned in, curious to hear the answer.
Mulla looked at the young man, smiled, and said, “Come with me.”
He led him to a nearby river
. Without warning, Mulla suddenly pushed the young man into the water and held his head under for a few seconds. The young man struggled and panicked
, trying desperately to breathe.
After a moment, Mulla pulled him out. The young man gasped for air, coughing and shouting, “What are you doing?!”
Mulla calmly asked, “When you were under the water, what did you want the most?”
The young man replied, “Air! I just wanted air!”
